A new vision for teachers' professional development process.

The National Education Academy continues its work to bring a new vision to the professional development process of teachers. The goal is to diversify professional development activities with workshop-based, interactive, and collaborative training opportunities, and to update them with peer coaching and feedback mechanisms. Seminars, courses, and trainer trainings are being shaped in line with new pedagogical approaches, technological developments, and the perspective of the Turkish Century Education Model.

In this context, the "Family and Education - Trainer Training Program" has been prepared to train trainers who will conduct family education activities at the local level in the provinces and to improve the quality of work in this field.

Based on the decisive role of the family in the child's development, the program includes content aimed at strengthening family-school cooperation, supporting the active participation of families in educational processes, and improving communication among education stakeholders. Within this scope, the aim is for participants to gain the competencies to communicate effectively with different family structures, plan and implement family education processes, and guide educational activities to be carried out at the local level.

The Gümüşhane National Education Academy has opened its doors.

The Gümüşhane National Education Academy launched its "Family and Education - Educator Training Course." The opening ceremony was held at the Gümüşhane Education and Application Center Conference Hall with the participation of Academy officials, instructors, and trainees.

The course, which began on June 1st, will continue until June 5th with 149 participants from various provinces and districts.

The role of the family in the education process is addressed in a multi-dimensional way.

The training program, attended by teachers selected from different branches by the provincial national education directorates, covers topics such as educational theory and practice in the family, family participation in education, digital privacy in family education, the role of the family in literacy education, the family in Turkish culture, digital parenting, communication and interaction between "family-environment-school-teacher," the role of the family in the social and emotional development of the child, and families of individuals with special needs.

The training process, which aims to both improve participants' theoretical knowledge and enable them to acquire practical skills they can use in the field, is intended to contribute to the dissemination of family-focused education studies and to strengthen family participation in educational processes.

The training program is conducted by a strong team of instructors consisting of expert academics and educators in their fields. Prof. Dr. Özkan Sapsağlam, Prof. Dr. Tolga Erdoğan, Prof. Dr. Ataman Karaçöp, and Assoc. Dr. Hülya Kodan are involved in the program. The expert staff from different disciplines significantly contributes to the quality of the program by sharing current information and practices in the field of family education with the participants. The Gümüşhane Training and Application Center serves as one of the new training centers established to host the professional development activities of the National Education Academy. The Family and Education-Teacher Training Course is the first training activity conducted at the center. In this respect, the program also represents the beginning of the center's education and development-oriented work. In the coming period, it is planned that the center will contribute to the professional development processes of teachers and education administrators through training programs to be held in different fields.
